Reader Rabbit Math Adventure Ages 6-9 (Jewel Case) Reviews
I think it is a good buy. My boys really enjoy this math game, however it seems pretty simple and they were able to finish the game relatively quickly.
When I was wondering about what gift to give to my niece who is fond of using PC and playing, my friend suggested to get her PC based kids software. I definitely recommend this to all kids to learn math at early age. As suggested by friend I bought Math 6-9 and few other Readers Rabbit and they are great fun and learning experience for kids to start learning math. I later did some research on all kinds of softwares available to by and found Readers Rabbit series the most appealing to kids.
He is 6 and ahead of most of his classmates but I wanted him to get some practice with addition, subtraction, money and telling time. He wants to play it before and after school. He loves showing me what rank he has achieved. He gets all that and more with plenty of repetition because he wants to build that ship and escape from the Pie Rats. He has gotten more from this math game than the other 2 I purchased. I would have just bought this one had I known how much he'd use it. He gets a new piece of the ship every time he correctly answers enough math problems.which aren't just basic arithmetic equations. My kindergarten son loves this game.
The game is well made and has a theme behind it. I bought this product for my 9 yr old. Players have to solve a variety of math puzzles before achieving the objective of the game. Most kids will like this game and it should improve their math skills.
I strongly recommend this program, it closely matches concepts taught in the second grade and is very good practice (and a good way to get them out of your hair for a few minutes) :) I put this game on a few days ago and was amazed at how useful it is now. At the time, this game was WAY too advanced for them, and it actually irritated me because I had to help them out so much with it. It uses shapes, fractions, money, time, addition and subtraction. My twin daughters were given this gift (math adventure ages 6-9) for x-mas when they were barely six years old. Zip forward a few years and they are now eight years old and in the second grade.
