Symantec pcAnywhere 12.1 Host and Remote makes connectivity fast, reliable and simple. The pcAnywhere Gateway provides a single connection point behind routers and firewalls, minimizing port configuration and eliminating the need to "daisy-chain" remote sessions within one another. The Host Invitation feature enables connections to be made from Host to Remote, instea of the usual Remote to Host. pcAnywhere's CrossPlatform Remote, Basic View and Tabbed Session Manager all streamline the remote access connection and navigation process. Monitor multiple remote sessions simultaneously in a single multi-pane view. Minimize any potential issues introduced by routers, firewalls, and dynamic IP addressing - invitation objects can be emailed directly to the Host user for immediate secure access. Now includes support for Windows Vista and Mac OS X Universal, in addition to current support for Linux. Connection Wizard makes pcAnywhere easier to use than ever Support for Microsoft Windows Preinstallation Environment helps you get crashed systems back up and running quickly

I'm based in Seattle, but my servers and VRU's are located in New York City. I bought this software for my company and I couldn't be more pleased. Whenever there's been a problem I've been able to log right in and get the job done.
Pat L I switched from gotomypc which was easy to connect 2 PC's but it kept messing up files in the database. Will try a Linksys router next. IP address. The hotline said to have Roadrunner configure ports to 5631 and 5632 but roadrunner has all ports open and do not reconfigure. Wasted tons of time. I loaded the PCAnywhere on both the mac and the Parallels side of the Macbookpro running XP pro (HOSTS) and the remote.
My network guys reconfigured ports and also forwarded them to the 66.IP address - still no luck. I had 2 network guys working on this. So I bought PcAnywhere 12.1 which will NOT connect at all==shows "Waiting for. Maybe I have having trouble because I am using a Airport Extreme router which automatically assigns a 10.0.1.1.
