Music Studio 7 Reviews
Unlike the clumbersome Cakewalk, etc., this is set up the way a studio is set up, and works relatively intuitively. As someone else mentioned, this stuff is pro-quality algorhythms for a VERY discounted price. This stuff is AWESOME. Bottom line. Big deal. I didn't expect much.
At the time I figure it'd be a simple Windows recorder, since I'm a Mac guy who has Digital Performer. . ENJOY. I've used this software since finding it in a bargain bin at $7. If you're crashing it, etc., figure out what you've got set up badly, what extra stuff you've got running, etc., because if an older laptop can run this without crashes, the sofware wasn't the problem. I recorded a rough demo on this software - THROUGH THE PINHOLE MIC in my laptop. But most important are the sounds and effects.
Use iTunes' free built in encoder if you like, but as cheap as this software goes for, even at list well under $100, quit complaining about a lousy $15. and it sounded good enough to let people hear. Digital Performer is several hundreds more and they hit ya up every time they do an UpDATE as if it were an upGRADE. They already give you.wav files and other uncompressed options. As to the MP3 encoding limitation: Hey, they hit you up for $15 upgrade to encode in mp3.
version of their pro audio program, Samplitude. - it's built into WinXP and others), and doesn't have a built in de-esser (which you can emulate with it's extensive EQ settings). Upon receiving this product, I was shocked, it's essentially Samplitude Studio, and it has a full MIDI sequencer to boot, with some of the most realistic instrumentation I've ever heard. It doesn't record 96K audio (only up to 48K - perfectly suited for pro work), can't burn CD's directly from the timeline (who doesn't have alternate CD burning software these days. This product is about three features short of the $1,700 (approx). I have used Magix Samplitude in a professional studio setting, editing radio commercials and doing audio for video work. When I first saw it, I thought, "They must have stripped the program bare, but at least it has the interface". All in all, this is an incredible program that is mature, stable and has most if not all of the features of it's big brother Samplitude, which has become a staple in studio settings.I'm buying two more for my business. It's incredible.
Definitely worth it's price not to mention the sample cd's. asio drivers will be very poor and your computer will overstack its buffers. Otherwise you will probably have problems like most of the other users writing reviews. This will cause crashing, dropouts, and other bad assortments. Before buying audio software make sure your drivers are updated and well written specifically for the card. By the wayside. This program is an older version of logic with cut-down logic-type vsti support.
Very fast on my 2.4GHz machine. Works great. I had absolutely no problems using my Audigy drivers under DX8. If you have any doubts, download the demo from Magix and try it before you buy it (duh).
I was warned about 6 so i stayed away. It lagged and locked up on me so many times i'm going cross-eyed. Or just stay away and find a nice sonic foundry program. DEFINITELY buy 5 over 6 or 7.
O.k. DON'T BUY. They cost a whole lot more.but if you can afford it.get it.If not, look around for magix music studio 5 deluxe. I liked version 5 deluxe a heckuvalot better than this.
I have a few more.this thing crashed more than a drunk pilot. Give this vampire the old wooden stake. You won't be sorry. I wish i were warned about this one.
