Microsoft Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005 SP2B for System Builders Reviews
Received well before expected, brand new packaged in retail package. I am very happy with the product, and will definately order from this retailer again. Will also recommend to friends.
My computer is now much more stable and works properly. I uninstalled Vista Ultimate and installed Microsoft Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005 SP2B for System Builders.
the computer wouldn't do a thing. Anyway, buyers, I STRONGLY recommend you to not even look at windows XP MCE, because it's a HUGE piece of junk that microsoft has ever made. ok, so when I built my own computer and installed windows xp media center edition, i found out that whenever i watched a video clip and exit it out or minimize it when I finished watching it, it would just completely freeze or stop. it's not just that, if i try to watch a video clip in whatever folder i have it saved on, it would just close out the folder I was at, and give out a message that says "Dr Watson debugger this and that." simply saying that there is a bug in the folder and i can't navigate around it.
I really think this product deserves no stars at all, but 1 star is the lowest so. It's not just that, and I faced many other problems that I would end up filling the entire page listing every problems I had using winxp MCE. so buyers, I 100% guarantee that if you buy winxp mce, you'll probably have one of the biggest regret in your life after using it. so I couldn't even watch a video clip in that folder. whatever.
Even a year and one service pack after Vista came out I have no intention to upgrade. All in all, a good buy, even today. MCE 2005 has a clean, sleek and fast interface. Of course, not everything can be done from the Media Center interface, but the intended stuff (TV, Pictures, Videos) are very easily accessed and used. Other features may require minimizing the Media Center interface to access XP's desktop and start menu. MCE 2005 is a great value for me. MCE 2005 provides me and my famiy a click-of-a-button ease to watch and record TV, play our favorite music and remember great moments by watching pictures, all from an easy remote-control.
being a computer tech, Mesia Center is far better than Vista. What could I relly say except. Thanks again. I recieved my order quickley and will continue to use Amazon because they ROCK.
