The product completely stopped working and my PC Tools Spyware Doctor program caught the virus before it spread, but it originate from Kaspersky. THe product works but customer service needs some major work. However, I did have an issue with the program in August 2008. I highly recommend Kaspersky over McAfee and Norton. I've used all three products and Kaspersky is the only one that has not slowed down my computer and still be effective.
The only time I have ever known it was there is when it found a virus or some other kind of malware. It simply works in the background. This software is not a system resource hog. It is simply the best anti-virus software I have ever owned. Top marks to Kaspersky. It appears to perform exactly as expected with no discernable intrusions.
Best solution on the market. Getting out of their automatic renewal is not very straightforward. Then on I have been a loyal customer of their products. After searching much on the internet, I came to know that only Kaspersky had solution for that trojan and it was the only solution which could fix the issue. Most effective solution as far as my experience goes. Kaspersky seems to focus on the core while keeping other parts simple.
Once a virus made into my PC through a torrent download. Before switching to Kaspersky last year, I used security software from other so-called big name vendor. Other vendors are more interested in signing you up for yearly updates and once you give your credit card details, that's it, they keep charging you whether you need their useless protection or not. Lack of sales pressure was also a reason to stick with them. This year I bought Anti-virus 2009. Over the years, I have been disenchanted with other software vendor whose products have become too bloated while their secret sauce has diluted. This is a big distinction from other name band AV products which hog a lot of resources.
Least intrusive. Quick too.
Simple installation. The software does not hog resources at all.
Go for it. Thus far Kaspersky has been very straight forward with gentle reminders and nothing else.
Updates happen in the background without affecting what you are doing. You may have to call their support, be on hold for several hours, even after that you may be lucky to get out of their hook.
Even full scan is very fast. Happy with the purchase.
Since I have installed this product, I have not noticed any conflict with my programs, especially "Studio 9". I highly recommend it. I have been running Norton's for years, and always have had a very slow boot-up time, and some of my programs were affected as well. When I saw the ad in the magazine about how Kaspersky Anti-Virus won't slow your computer down, I was ready to try. I also have cut my boot-up time in half.
. But what I really like most about Kaspersky is that you buy a license and not a program. I have never encountered this feature with other anti-virus programs. I have had Norton and will pass. I have their products on all of my PC's. For me, Kaspersky is a no brainer. I have gotten a response within 24 hours and the response answered my question.
They provide a very simple means of upgrading their program at no expense on their web site. While some may claim that others offer a superior product at a lesser price, no knowledgeable person will dispute their effectiveness. They have a small footprint and an exceptional product. To those that have had a bad experience, I suggest that you e-mail your concerns to Kaspersky. They offer classes for free on their internet site on internet security and program usage. Enough said.
After a scan, they will offer suggestions on other manufacturer program upgrades for maximum security. Kaspersky offers the very best anti-virus engine. I have Comcast and can get McAfee for free, but I have Kaspersky. So long as you have a current license, you are entitled to their lastest and greatest program.
