Guitar Praise is a variation of a game (similar to the popular Guitar Hero) where you play a guitar to win the game. Instead of playing with traditional rock tracks, Guitar Praise includes over 50 popular devotional rock tracks.
Guitar Praise lets players act out their dreams of leading a rock band by playing along with their favorite Christian rock tunes. As the song and lyrics play, colorful notes scroll down the screen. Players must keep up by matching the notes to the fret buttons on the guitar controller included with the game. Four levels of play are offered?as the player completes songs, more tracks are unlocked and the challenge increases. Guitar Praise features 52 of the most inspirational and pulsating tracks from the Christian rock world, all by the original artists. Today's most popular hits are combined with classics from the 80's and 90's; the playlist includes titles from Flyleaf, Skillet, Stellar Kart, tobyMac, Newsboys, Petra, 12 Stones, Spoken, Whitecross, Thousand Foot Krutch, Paul Baloche, David Crowder, and Red, plus many others.
As players shred through their guitar solos, Guitar Praise records high scores per song. New songs, in sets of five, are unlocked along the way to keep the player's interest. By tilting the guitar, players can activate spinner bonuses; as they increase their skills they can earn new onscreen "guitars" with richer sounds and different effects.

For a first release product this unit is incredible. Give the guys a break.
The Quality is in the music and the game play and the fun you can have with your kids without worrying about them hearing about immoral innuendos time and time again. Can't wait for the Rock Band Clone :D Look, I don't expect that Digital Praise expected out of the gate to be at the Guitar Hero level.
The songs they picked are excellent, i'm very impressed. For what its purposed for, getting some Christian Music in the gaming world it is spot on. Its alright that the graphics are not "blow you out of the chair" quality.
If you dont meet the bill dont bother, theres a reason why Switchfoot, Flyleaf & Relient K weren't included in rock band or guitar hero and its nothing to do with their subject matter.Jimi, Kurt and Bob all rock much harder. This game is strictly for the christians, particularly those who LOVE christian music.
its a great alternative to be able to have a guitar hero or rockband like experience without the high prices of those games or the systems. i am impressed with the innovation and the simplistic manner in which this operates. it works seemless, the wireless guitar connects easily on my iMac and works great. I was so happy to find this product. i could see playing the game on a small computer screen being an issue, yet for me, with a large iMac screen or option to use my connected tv, its great. this game works great, its innovative, has many unique options for game play, graphics are fine and so much fun to play and watch my kids play who are totally rockin it. this is plug and play.
If you are a parent looking for an alternative to Guitar Hero or Rock Band, this is definitely a good choice. Yes the graphics aren't the greatest but ultimately you're just looking at the notes anyway. Great Christian rock song selection. Only for computer. No CD needed after installation.

Overall it's a really great game, and well done, considering Digital Praise's budget compared to Guitar Hero or Rock Band. The notes don't exactly match the sound (barely noticeable until you start playing tricky parts on hard and expert, but even then you get the feel for it).
Easy menu. First of all this game is pretty fun.
You do Have to hit the buttons a little early, but when you hit the buttons you can either get a perfect, good, or miss. I thought Guitar Prais was well done. I have read the other reviews where people are compairing Guitar Praise to Guitar Hero. I am not the best at Guitar Hero so I play on easy, and have only got 1 100% out of probobly 50-60 songs. I think the menues could be simpler, but overall I thought the game was good. There is allways room for improvement. I auctially like Guitar Praise better than Guitar Hero.
The game has other diffculty's, but I havent played it enough yet to try them. Guitar Praise is a great game, I think this is a really good step forward in the creation a Christian alternitive to Guitar Hero. The game play was fun It was cool that the lyrics came up as the song played. With Guitar Praise I only played three or four songs and got two 100%. I am running Guitar Praise on my laptop, and it runs just fine.
