All in all, I'm very satisfied. but readable this time. The OCR is great. The product is refreshingly easy to use: you browse to the pdf you want to read, click one button, and Word opens with the converted text. Amazon sent a replacement (promptly) that also arrived with the CD loose and scratched. It was unreadable on receipt. There only one caveat: on my order, the CD came loose in shipping and scraped around on the spindle that was supposed to be holding it.

And if you just want to convert documents to PDF, without all the other bells and whistles that Adobe gives you, it is very functional for that too. Well worth the money if you do PDF conversions. This includes graphics, photos, legal pleadings, etc. You do have to go through and double check for typos - but the conversion rate is about 98%. The best part is that it will convert PDFs to OCR WITHOUT CHANGING THE FORMAT - so what you see in the PDF is what you get after the conversion, not a muddled mess. I am not aware of any other program that will do the conversion as well. This product is great.
It accurately converts PDFs to Excel spreadsheets, or Word documents - leaving me in complete control to force treatment of parts of the document as graphics. It is a great program. In converting files to PDFs it is a most efficient converter - Other previously used print to PDF programs would give me files 4 to 10 times as large as this program does. This is one of the most essential tools in my arsenal.
